YOU CAN BE A CULINARY SUPERHERO! HOT POT HERO AND MISS TOYA’S THE NEXT FEATURED RESTAURANTS ON “DAMN THAT’S GOOD”
Tuesday's penultimate episode of Season 2 heads to Ellicott City, MD and Silver Spring, MD

As Season 2 of Damn That’s Good draws to a close in next week’s season finale, the culinary adventures remain open as host (and culinary superhero) Eugene Obah heads Hot Pot Hero in Ellicott City, MD to try Chinese hot pot for the first time, and later heads to Silver Spring, MD to try Creole cuisine at Miss Toya’s Creole House. The episode airs tomorrow—TUESDAY NOVEMBER 12—on the Common Sense Entertainment YouTube channel (YouTube.com/TheCSEChannel).
“We continue to be thrilled with the public’s embrace of the restaurants we have featured thus far, and last week’s edition—the most popular of the season thus far—was no exception,” said Obah, who additionally serves as Vice President, Common Sense Entertainment. “I think these next few restaurants will completely knock your socks off—we’ll let you be the judge!”
Obah also issued the following on this week’s show:
“Until we had shot the episode earlier in the year, I never had hot pot, and I sat wondering after all this time what have I been missing—it was that good. And coming off of a snowy day (a rarity in recent years), it was unusually warm on the day, and I imagined that, if the weather were cold, I would find being there even more comforting, almost as if it wanted to give me a hug.
We always think about how we want to tell the story of the restaurants we feature, and you’ll see in doing so a very different look and feel to any show we’ve done. It’s the most fun I have had in the edit room, and I think it will show.
And at Miss Toya’s, what a gift it was when I was in Silver Spring. The last time I had creole cuisine was at the long-departed Acadiana. The staff were also very friendly—a huge plus for me. Stick around for the credits (if you’re a long-time watcher, this shouldn’t be a surprise). There may or may not be a little pop culture reference to one aspect of Miss Toya’s décor.
Now to actually go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. On the bucket list.
My kind of atmosphere.”
