SPORTS JOURNALIST REGINA HAM DISCUSSES THE WNBA’S SUCCESSES, OFFSEASON DEVELOPMENTS AND THE GROWTH OF WOMEN'S SPORTS ON THE NOVEMBER EDITION OF “FIT TO SPEAK”
Host Eugene Obah's commentary for Republicans and Democrats on the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election to also be part of Wednesday’s all new episode on YouTube.com/TheCSEChannel
With Thanksgiving around the corner, CSE Media, the news division of the award-winning Common Sense Entertainment Inc., is set to provide a feast for the mind on sports and politics on an all new Fit To Speak WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 27 on YouTube.com/TheCSEChannel.
The November edition will lead with Sports Journalist Regina Ham, who joins Host Eugene Obah to discuss the successes of the WNBA’s 2024 season—including the breakout successes of Indiana Fever Guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky Forward Angel Reese—the implications the league’s growth will have on the future of the league and all women’s sports, and the role that broadcasters and the public have in covering and supporting women’s sports.
“Regina is one of the few journalists in our industry who goes beyond the surface level to get to the deeper narratives and issues behind the hottest stories from the world of sports, and the WNBA has brought a lot of stories to tell this year,” said Obah, who serves as Vice President, Common Sense Entertainment. “Our program thrives on this level of conversation, and I am delighted and thankful for the fact that our audience will hear her insight on the league’s (frankly) long-overdue attention.”
Additionally, Obah will provide commentary on the 2024 election results, in which Donald Trump will become the first U.S. President since Grover Cleveland to serve a non-consecutive second term as President. Obah will share his theory on one event that occurred years prior that led to the outcome, and the tough conversations and reflection that both major political parties—and some who support said parties—need to have ahead of future election cycles.
As Obah further states:
“Much of the public and the media have had their say; now it’s my turn—and while some of the partisans on both sides of the aisle will probably want to fling cranberry sauce at me, they would do very well to listen. And since I am in a giving mood, just as we did four years ago in our first season, I am doing the Thanksgiving political talk so our audience doesn’t have to after carving the turkey that’s hopefully not drier than the Sahara Desert—in fact, I encourage our audience to share my commentary at the table with your crazy uncle or that mother-in-law who you cannot wait to see go away.
Oh, apologies in advance for any arguments that ensue.”
