DID SPRING *REALLY* JUST GET STRONGER? THE APRIL FIT TO SPEAK: FROM THE ARCHIVES TO PROVIDE A REPORT CARD MIDWAY THROUGH THE UNITED FOOTBALL LEAGUE’S SEASON
Show returns April 26; The Markcast Host Reid Johnson’s 2023 interview to also be revisited
CSE Media’s Fit To Speak: From The Archives, which revisits past editions of Fit To Speak, continues its second season with a look at the inaugural season of the United Football League (UFL), which was created as a result of the merger of the XFL and USFL. Host Eugene Obah will provide an extended commentary on what the league is getting right and wrong, his letter grades on many factors, including attendance and ratings, and whether or not some teams need to relocate on Friday, April 26 on YouTube.com/TheCSEChannel.
Additionally, the episode will feature last April’s interview with The Markcast host Reid Johnson. Johnson, who was on the fourth season premiere of Fit To Speak in 2023, provided his assessment of the XFL’s return amid the spring football ecosystem, and what the futures of the XFL and USFL could look like.
“We have seen some interesting ‘chicken or the egg’ conversations on social media on ratings and attendance numbers for the UFL, and I do very much look forward to analyzing and finally settling this debate on what really matters in order for spring football to actually stick around,” said Obah, who serves as Vice President, Common Sense Entertainment. “I am also delighted to replay Reid’s interview, which was the highest performing premiere of the regular show on YouTube—it will be interesting to reflect on what came to pass now that we are seeing the relatively mixed results of this merger thus far.”
